| ·Operation & Maintenance
Proper and rational operation of transmissions combined with regular maintenance is essential to guarantee the safe and smooth operation of vehicles and extend the service longevity of the transmissions. Please abide by the operation instructions as follows:
·Lubricating Oil Model
Fill 85W/90 gear oil in the transmission of the vehicle.
·Correct Oil Level
The oil level must be on the same level with the oil filling opening. Check the oil level through the conical oil filling opening on the side of the case. Stop filling oil when oil overflows from the opening.
·Working Temperature
Under continuous work, the oil temperature should be no higher than 120℃ and no lower than -40℃. Exceeding 120℃, the lubricating oil will resolve, shortening the transmission life.
·Oil Changing Cycle
To new transmissions, lubricating oil must be changed after a 2000 to 5000 km long riding;
Check the oil level and leakage once every 10,000 km riding and refill oil if necessary;Change the oil once every 50,000 km.
·Vehicle Towing or Idle Sliding
The continuous running of shafts and gears provides sufficient lubricating for the transmission when it works. But when towing the vehicle, the countershaft gears and mainshaft gears in the main case don’t run but the mainshaft is driven to spin at a high speed by the rear wheels, which would make the transmission damaged seriously.
A similar serious consequence may occur when idle sliding.
If towing needed, withdraw the half axis or disconnect the drive shaft.
