2009-Year Annual Meeting of China Gear Manufacturers Association (CGMA) & its 5^th Member Conference with the theme of “Innovative Development and Create a common future” was held in Suzhou city, Jiangsu Province the other day. Board Chairman Li Dakai and Vice-President Wang Fengbo and the other leaders and member representatives of the association attended the meeting. It was about the international summit forum of the gear industry and the next term election. Board Chairman Li Dakai was reelected as the president of the association thanks to his outstanding contribution to Chinese Gear Industry and broad social influence.

In the meeting, President Li Dakai made a theme report. He gave an analysis about the situation of the domestic and oversea markets as well as the new situation and challenge Chinese gear industry was faced with. He also put forward the target and task of the industry during the Twelfth-Five-Year period. “Under the leadership of CGMA and after years of innovative development and the common efforts of all the gear manufacturers, now China has developed into a large nation in gear making, but we are still not a power nation in that. Big gap still exists between us and the world advanced level. So each of us must further speed up the pace of the industrial structure adjustment and innovative development, widely participate in the domestic and oversea market competition, aim at the frontier technologies of the R&D and making of the world auto gear industry, strive to abridge the gap between us and the world advanced level and build our independent brand marks stronger,” President Li pointed out. He also called on all the gear manufacturers to be united, cooperative and make progress hand in hand so as to create a new situation of fair play and win-win in hope of promoting the rapid upgrading and innovative development of Chinese gear industry.
